Beyond the Reach of the Sun marque un changement assez important au sein de la formation car c\u2019est le premier avec uniquement Kenneth Paul Cook \u00e0 la voix \u00e0 la suite du d\u00e9part de Chris Dyck en 2017. Beyond the Reach of the Sun, on l\u2019attendait avec impatience cet album. Huit ans, c\u2019est long mais \u00e7a aura valu la peine d\u2019attendre finalement car cet album est un pur chef d\u2019\u0153uvre. L\u2019exploration progressive est pouss\u00e9e beaucoup plus loin red\u00e9finissant la sonorit\u00e9 du groupe tout en gardant le cap sur ce qui avait \u00e9t\u00e9 fait sur les deux albums pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents. C\u2019est donc avec une l\u00e9g\u00e8re \u00e9volution que le groupe nous revient avec des riffs toujours aussi complexes et des textures diverses qui agr\u00e9mentent les compositions en mettant les arrangements en avant plan et un certain c\u00f4t\u00e9 atmosph\u00e9rique pas piqu\u00e9 des vers! La production est tr\u00e8s impressionnante et rends toute la justice voulue aux dix excellentes pi\u00e8ces de l\u2019album.
