Certains saluaient le changement effectu\u00e9 par le groupe tandis que d\u2019autres qualifiaient ce changement de mollesse de la part de groupe.  Bien s\u00fbr que State of Euphoria n\u2019\u00e9tait pas Among the Living mais c\u2019\u00e9tait la juste suite et cet album est tout de m\u00eame un important album dans la discographie de Anthrax et pour l\u2019\u00e9volution du M\u00e9tal.  Le groupe se r\u00e9inventait tout en gardant son propre style de Thrash Metal qui finira plus tard par influencer directement la vague du \u00ab New Wave of American Heavy Metal \u00bb ou proprement dit, le Metalcore Am\u00e9ricain.
