Les pionniers du Doom psych\u00e9d\u00e9lique r\u00e9cidivaient avec un huiti\u00e8me album haut en couleurs et en textures diverses qui allait faire froncer les sourcils autant des fans que des non-initi\u00e9s. The Garden of Unearthly Delights montrait Cathedral sous un autre jour :  Lee Dorian et sa troupe de joyeux lurons avaient tout bonnement d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d\u2019exp\u00e9rimenter encore plus avec les sons et les structures en offrant de solides pi\u00e8ces compl\u00e9tement disjonct\u00e9es dans lesquelles la col\u00e8re et la hargne \u00e9taient au rendez-vous.  Musicalement parlant c\u2019\u00e9tait toujours du Cathedral mais avec un petit plus qui rendait mal \u00e0 l\u2019aise par moments.  Bref, un autre excellent album de la part du groupe Anglais.  Cet album fut le seul et unique avec Nuclear Blast, Lee Dorian avait finalement pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 sortir les albums suivants sur son propre label Rise Above Records fond\u00e9 en 1989.
