Riders on the Storm offrait une fois de plus un habile m\u00e9lange et de sonorit\u00e9s Folk et de musique classique.  Le petit c\u00f4t\u00e9 Industriel \u00e9tait toujours pr\u00e9sent sur la majorit\u00e9 des pi\u00e8ces avec des claviers en avant plan qui cr\u00e9aient des atmosph\u00e8res uniques et incomparables bien ancr\u00e9es sur des riffs et des rythmiques sauvages et puissantes.  Bein que Die Apokalyptischen Reiter n\u2019ait jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 un groupe des plus connus, il n\u2019en demeure pas moins important pour le d\u00e9veloppement des m\u00e9langes de styles dans le m\u00e9tal plus extr\u00eame.  Riders on the Storm fut le dernier album \u00e0 offrir ce style unique avant que le groupe ne bifurque vers des sonorit\u00e9s plus Heavy Metal et Hard Rock sur les albums suivants.
